Statistical Analysis, Predictive Modeling, Data Interpretation
In my statistical modeling study, I analyzed 2019 US traffic accident data to identify key factors contributing to the severity of car accidents. This retrospective analysis focused on variables like vehicle model year, driver demographics, safety measures, substance use, weather conditions, etc. Utilizing logistic regression and various model evaluation metrics, including accuracy, sensitivity, and Kappa Score, I developed a predictive model for accident severity. The study revealed significant associations between certain factors and severe accidents, emphasizing the need for targeted interventions.
